Marsh Harbour, Abaco was spared the wrath of hurricane Irma.
At first it looked like she would hit us straight on, but as the days went by and as we followed her via NOAA's Hurricane Tracking website, we realized we would be missed by this massive storm. Not everyone can say that. On the contrary, many lives were lost and the devastation left behind by Irma was cataclysmic to say the least.
Please join the church at Marsh Harbour in praying for those who have lost family, friends, members of their community, pets, and property. We pray that God will comfort them as only He can and that all those touched by this catastrophic event will realize their desperate need to know God and trust in Him.
We live in a broken world and though some may feel like pointing their finger at God and blaming Him... we are the ones who broke this world.
The world was paradisaical before sin entered in, Genesis 1 & 2. Mankind, in disobeying God, brought sin into a perfect world and the world from that time forward has been plagued with suffering and death.
One day God will call an end to this world... sin, suffering, death, and dying will be done away with, Revelation 21:1-5. But until that day comes, we must trust in God and help one another to get through this broken world's trials as best we can.
We will pray for all those who have had their lives turned upside down by this storm and hope that all mankind will realize that there is a God who is bigger than the storms of this life and this broken world.
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. Revelation 21:1-5
